Terms of Service

Last updated 8 August 2026

1. The service

SetMyResume provides resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile writing services. Every document is written by a professional writer based on the information you provide.

2. Placing an order

You choose your service and any add ons, and provide your basic contact details. Payment is required before career and work history details can be submitted. Prices are shown on our Pricing page in your local currency at the time you check out.

3. Providing accurate information

The quality of your finished resume depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information you give us during intake. Please make sure your work history, dates and achievements are correct, as we write from what you provide and don't independently verify it.

4. Delivery

We aim to deliver your finished document within the turnaround time shown at checkout, typically 2 to 4 business days from completing your intake form, or within 24 hours if you've added fast delivery. Turnaround begins once your intake is fully submitted, not from the date of payment.

5. Revisions

Every order includes two free rounds of revisions, which must be requested within 7 days of your draft being delivered. Revisions outside this window, or beyond the included rounds, may be chargeable at our discretion.

6. Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on how far your order has progressed. See our Refund Policy for full details.

7. Ownership of your documents

Once delivered, the resume, cover letter or LinkedIn copy we write for you is yours to use, edit and distribute as you see fit. We may use anonymised, non identifying excerpts of finished work for portfolio or marketing purposes unless you ask us not to.

8. Acceptable use

Our service is intended to help you present your genuine experience and qualifications accurately. We won't knowingly fabricate qualifications, employment history, or credentials that you didn't actually hold.

9. Liability

We take care to write an accurate, well presented resume based on your input, but we can't guarantee interview or job offer outcomes, which depend on many factors outside our control. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The version in effect at the time you place an order is the one that applies to that order.

12. Contact
